Janie & Colette are the best! Our property was a complicated estate property with a lot of unique features and we needed someone who could market it properly. We chose Janie because of her extensive knowledge and expertise with acreage properties. Working with Janie & Colette was wonderful. They worked very hard helping us get the property ready to photograph and show. They helped us with all the paperwork, inspections, and miscellaneous details that arose, and worked closely with the stager to make sure everything was perfect. They did such a beautiful job that the property sold in less than a week for $100K over asking price! After the sale, Janie went above and beyond helping us with our move. She is brilliant with marketing, thorough and meticulous with details, and the nicest, most positive person you will ever meet and Colette is an angel, helpful and kind and thoughtful. As a team, they are simply the best you can hire to help you, whether you are buying or selling!

The best part about getting to work with Colette and Janie is getting to work with Colette and Janie! They are both energetic, full of ideas and insight, and set us up with a plan to get our house ready to sell (which it did pretty quickly, even though we got caught in the crunch of rising interest rates). The worst part about working with Colette & Janie is enjoying connecting with them so much, then having it all come to an end. Wish we were the buyers so we could continue seeing them, but our plan was to sell and they helped us get a great price for our home in the exact time frame that we needed.

We purchased a home with Colette and team in an extremely competitive market and amid rising interest rates. We ended up purchasing a home for our family off market prior to it being listed, without Colette’s connections we likely would have missed out entirely before rates went out of our price range. We had specific needs for a larger home due to our growing family and the inventory has been at an all time low in Santa Cruz/Scotts Valley. Colette worked to make sure we had options as soon as possible. She also brought in quality brokers and insurance agents to insure a smoother transaction (we ended up using a family friend but we think Colette’s contact actually had a better quote for us and we’ll be switching in one year). Even after closing, Colette had worked to be a liaison between buyer and seller to be sure the move in process goes as smoothly as possible. Thanks Colette!

The Hanson Schaefer Team is professional and hard-working. There were a number of challenges in the sale of our mother's home, and they met each with grace, humor and intelligence.
